SOLVED! - Eclectic #Q&A : What are these seemingly hand woven bowls made from and/or where do they originate from?

SOLVED: These are bowls made out of spun Bamboo!

I found this lot of 8 seemingly hand woven bowls at a local thrift shop a few days ago. Upon researching all corners of the web and back, I have been unable to find anything remarkably concrete in regard to what these are made from or where they may have originated. The closest thing that could make sense is that they are made from birch bark and birch bark tar, perhaps. If you hold the answers please fill me in by commenting below and I will forever be indebted to your kindness and expert knowledge of whatever-the-hell makes up the whole of these strangely unique, intricately woven bowls! That, or they are strategically designed to look hand woven but crafted somehow in a factory in the states...that would be unfortunate but good on them for technique and intrigue.

Please, if you have any idea what these bowls are made from or where they likely originated from comment below. It would be greatly appreciated!
